Recently Edmonton’s VETS Sheet Metal and AirTek Kelowna’s teams finished a 4 month, $1.5 million dollar joint project. Over the course of the project, man power peaked at 12 men on site and 6 men in the shop. The project was designed and engineered through VETS and AirTek. This multi cone project was a first for the VETS Edmonton location and we are proud of the craftsmanship shown and the final product delivered.
The project completed and the system started on schedule on January 2, 2017.
Located 75 kilometers north of Fort McMurray, the VETS Sheet Metal team has been working at the Fort Hills site since July of 2016. With a time and material budget of $3.1 million the project consists of 15 buildings with both single, insulated and clad ducting.
The Sheet Metal team is working hard to ensure the project is completed by April 2017 and is currently ahead of schedule, on budget, and incident & accident free. Between July 2016 and the completion in April 2017, VETS will supply and install 51,000 lbs of duct, 134 pieces of HVAC equipment and staff will have a combined total of 19,000 man hours.
