VETS Facility Services is proud to sponsor the inaugural Indoor Air Quality Summit on April 13. Indoor air quality (IAQ) has always been an important part of our work at VETS, in fact it is the inspiration of our purpose of ’providing healthy and comfortable environments’. The recent pandemic has turned the light onto the difficulties of creating safe, clean indoor air within an existing HVAC system. If you want to learn more about the impact of indoor air quality in your building or system, join us for this upcoming event. Click here to register
[Edmonton, Alberta, February 5, 2020] - Two well established businesses unite to provide safe dust collection and explosion mitigation services to the wood fiber, food and beverage, agriculture and mining industries.
VETS Sheet Metal, founded by a World War 1 veteran in 1921, is now the exclusive Western Canadian distributor of German manufacturer REMBE® line of flameless explosion vents, explosion panels and quench valves.
A leader in the industrial HVAC and dust mitigation industries, VETS Sheet Metal is proud to be able to offer its customers the ultimate in German designed and engineered explosion safety systems. Much of the dust produced as by product in the wood fiber, food processing, agriculture and mining industries poses a potentially catastrophic risk to workers, businesses and the communities they serve. With the correct facility and ventilation planning as well as integration of safety products such as REMBE® explosion vents; the Q-Box and Q-Rohr, the extent of an incident and its implications for workers and the business can be mitigated.
The Q-Rohr is the original flameless explosion vent for indoor applications. It enables a flame arresting and particulate retention explosion venting that doesn’t need complicated outdoor venting or incur the costs of facility restructuring.
The Q-Box provides safe explosion venting in working areas either indoors or out. It is designed for plant components with low rigidity and large explosion venting areas.

Ever wonder why we are called VETS? Check out this video that explains where we got our name and why it’s still important to us, 97 years later.
As of April 2nd, 2018 AirTek Pneumatics is now VETS Sheet Metal. In the Spring of 2016 VETS added AirTek Pneumatics to the VETS Group of companies. Through the last two years we have grown together and combined our teams, best work practices, and the cultures. One of the final pieces of this process is to integrate the AirTek Pneumatics brand into the VETS Sheet Metal name. Do you have questions about this change, email Erin at firstname.lastname@example.org
VETS’ LARGEST DUST COLLECTION CYCLONE PROJECT.
On February 20th, 2018 the largest cyclone project VETS has ever built, left our Edmonton shop, to be delivered and installed at an OSB (Oriented Strand Board) Mill. With one of the pieces weighing in at 30,000 pounds, the total assembled weight is approximately 48,000 pounds - that’s 24 tonnes. Once installed it will stand over 80 feet in the air. This system is NFPA compliant and has increased filtration capacity as well as an explosion panel top.
Do you have questions about dust collection or fume extraction systems? Are you concerned about your system meeting NFPA requirements? Give us a call 780.434.7476, or email us at email@example.com.
On March 10th, 2018 at the 33rd Annual Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Awards Gala, VETS Facility Services took home the coveted Pinnacle Award for Customer Service. This annual gala hosts approximately 400 attendees and special guests attended, including Mayor Don Iveson, and Councillor Dziadyk who gave the address from the city. Award recipients represent companies and individuals that are examples of excellence in the Edmonton commercial real estate industry.
A little over 3 years ago VETS’ Facility Service division underwent a fundamental change in how we deliver our services. Our focus went from a traditional reactive approach to a full service, preventative maintenance approach. With a change of this scale it was important to understand whether or not we were succeeding in the eyes of our clients. The basis of our the award submission was the process created to measure our success and address any issues or concerns as soon as possible.
